Chantal and Daniel O'Sullivan think everyone can do yoga, not just the bendy people.

They opened Shanti Yoga in Tsawwassen last month, offering an assortment of classes -- from restorative and gentle hatha to Shanti Sweat and power yoga -- in an open and friendly atmosphere.

Studio director Chantal has been practicing yoga for close to a decade. She completed her teacher training with Semperviva in Vancouver and believes every day is better once you've taken time to unroll your mat.

She brings her enthusiasm and love of yoga to every class she teaches and with Shanti Yoga, she says, she is thrilled to have assembled such a wonderful group of seven knowledgeable teachers, each with their own unique teaching style and personality.

And since O'Sullivan is also a writer, she loves to share her enthusiasm about yoga and life on and off the mat through her yoga-related blog: http://shantiyogabc.blogspot.com.

Shanti Yoga is at 4-1363-56th St. (at Windsor Woods, near Starbucks). It's open seven days a week, but schedules vary daily. Call 604-943-9978 or visit www.shantiyogabc.com.

The first class is free.
