The Abbotsford District Teachers' Association is organizing a demonstration Thursday afternoon to remind the public that teachers are still on strike and working without a contract.
ADTA president Jeff Dunton said teachers are being encouraged to take part in a peaceful demonstration immediately following the end of classes on Thursday.
Teachers will gather off school property with signs for 15 to 20 minutes to remind parents and the public they are still working to negotiate a collective agreement.
Teachers in Abbotsford are part of a province-wide phased strike launched at the start of the school year.
The B C T F 's newest negotiation package features a three per cent wage increase annually over a three-year period.
