A 60-unit apartment building is being proposed for the former Harris Nursery site in Tsawwassen.

The four-storey building with underground parking is proposed for a corner lot at 5454-12th Ave.

Project architect Peter Dandyk said in order to maintain a strong pedestrian focus, a mini park, called Rotary Corner, would be located on the northwest corner as a public amenity. It would include a small gazebo, benches, pathways and a waterfall with a pond feature.

Delta's Advisory Design Panel recently discussed the application and found the site suitable for the proposed development, although it recommended some revisions.

Marcy Sangret, Delta's acting director of community planning and development, told the Optimist the application is still in the early stages and that a report hasn't been prepared for Delta council's consideration.
