Cars and quilts set to fill Ladner Village

They will be pouring the parking pockets and we anticipate paving this Saturday. The area will be ready to go for Sunday's Quilt Walk and Car Show."

Lan said the third phase will include work between Trenant and Chisholm streets.

"I was just down in the area and I think it looks really nice. Yes, there has been disruption for the businesses, but we have received very positive feedback from the business owners ," he added.

Andrea Frustaci, president of the Ladner Business Association, said the group is pretty ramped up about the project.

"It's looking good. They are doing a really good job ," Frustaci said. "We are Presented by the Ladner Business Association, the 12th annual Quilt Walk and Car Show will draw thousands to Ladner Village Sunday to check out vintage cars and colourful quilts.

The show runs from 10 a. m. to 4 p. m. More than 400 classic and vintage cars and motorcycles are expected to line the streets, while the quilt portion promises to be bigger and better.

The show will also feature performances by the Lounge Hounds from Chilliwack and the 17-piece Deep Cove Big Band.

The popular Pin-Up Pageant is back for a second year.

There will also be a pancake breakfast and afternoon barbecue at the Ladner Legion, a craft beer garden in the parking lot of Sharkey's, a variety of food trucks and a selection of automotivethemed vendors.
