Biography

Former Delta Optimist reporter Corry Anderson-Fennell is thrilled to be back writing for the newspaper that gave her that all-important first job out of journalism school. After an 18-year career as both a reporter and editor in the Lower Mainland and Sunshine Coast, Anderson-Fennell left journalism in 2007 to follow her passion as an animal lover and joined the BC SPCA as a communications officer. She switched gears again in 2011 to become a communication specialist for the Surrey School District. She and her family - including two demanding dogs - live on a floating home in Ladner.

Opinion

When I was six, my parents bought me a rabbit. I named him Spunky and for 10 years he was my confidante, my best friend and my go-to for show-and-tell days at school.
