Four members of the Rotary Club of Tsawwassen literally jumped for dollars raising $7,000 for the Rotary Foundation jumping out of an airplane last Saturday.

With matching grants from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, the $7,000 raised will turn into a $21,000 donation towards ending Polio. These funds help to immunize close to 21,000 children against this horrific disease.

Shane Todhunter, Vickii Paramanathan, Elizabeth Wagner, and Randy Bilesky took the courageous leap with the support of Skydive Vancouver's staff. "What an exhilarating way to support a cause I care so much about," said Todhunter after he landed, adding he would love to do it again.

The Rotary Club of Tsawwassen partners with various international organizations to eradicate Polio. As of June 2014, there are only three countries in the world where there are still cases of Polio reported each year. Rotary's goal is to see polio wiped from the face of the world within the next few years.
