Before the summer is over, Delta Gymnastics is hosting a free outdoor community event on Saturday, Aug. 29 to give kids a chance to stay active and join in fun activities.
"The Fall Back Into Gym event celebrates participation in active play, which is one of the key messages in the LIVE 5-2-1-0 campaign that Delta Gymnastics has recently adopted alongside the Delta Child and Youth Committee," explained Carlene Lewall, outreach programs and marketing director at Delta Gymnastics. "We want to use the outside open space by our gym, lots of fun gymnastics equipment and stations, and supervision by our knowledgeable staff to give kids the opportunity to play and then play some more!" This community event will be held just outside of the Delta Gymnastics facility in Ladner from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. "We invite kids to participate in free gymnastics stations, where we hope to raise awareness regarding the importance of active play and how it contributes to the development of healthy children," added Lewall.
