The Ladner Mosquito AAA All Star team brought home first place hardware last weekend after going undefeated in the annual Boulanger baseball tournament in Cloverdale.

With exceptional pitching by Jacob Wegner, James McNiell and Zak Zbitnoff, and an MVP-winning effort by Matt Wilkinson, the Red Sox defeated Burnaby 8-6 in the final.

Coached by Paul Bach, Dan Hawksworth and Bill Zbitnoff, the team hopes to secure a spot in the provincial tournament in August.

The coaches said every player contributed significantly to the tournament title.

The team consists of: Braedy Euerby, Branden Bach, Jaicob Hastings, Jacob Wegner, James McNiell, Jared Romaniuk, Jordan Hawksworth, Jordan Sanders, Matthew Wilkinson, Reid Rogers, Sam Macfarlane and Zakary Zbitnoff.
