Welcome to the 15th annual Readers' Choice Awards special edition that honours and recognizes the businesses and individuals chosen the best in their category by Optimist readers.

Winners were determined by ballots that ran in the Optimist this spring. Readers were asked to vote for their favourite in each category. The business or individual receiving the most votes was declared the "Readers' Choice."

Although we've chosen to list only the top vote getters in each category, this contest showed there are a large number of businesses doing a great job in Ladner and Tsawwassen, evidenced by the fact their loyal customers took the time to enter their names on the ballot.

All winners received substantial support from Optimist readers, but this year we're featuring those nine businesses that have been a readers' favourite every year since the program began.

All readers that took the time to fill out a ballot were entered in a draw for a Yamaha Sound Bar (surround sound system) from Jack's TV & Stereo. The winner is Jaime Price of Ladner.
