Jason Mills’ 3 Hours till Dead will premiere Monday.

Ladner filmmaker Jason Mills is set to share his latest horror movie with the public.

He'll be premiering 3 Hours till Dead, a zombie flick, Monday in Vancouver.

"It's action-packed," he says, noting there's a mix of fast and slow zombies in the film. He had previously described the project as a cross between classics Night of the Living Dead and 28 Days Later.

3 Hours till Dead marks Mills' third feature horror film. He says it was filmed locally.

"I just feel like it's come a long way from the others."

He notes it received an award from the UK Monthly Film Fest and is up for more at the North American Film Awards in November.

Mills says he's currently working on his sixth horror feature. Upcoming titles include Alone we are not and Bigfoot Country.

"You can kind of do anything in horror. You can add a bit of romance in there, a little comedy, it allows me to build my horizon more. I can do more stuff."

The premiere for 3 Hours till Dead is set for Monday, Sept. 19 at 6 p.m. with the show scheduled to start at 7 p.m. at the Rio Theatre in Vancouver. Tickets are $10. Contact Mills at [email protected] or through https://www.facebook.com/Hourstilldead/ for tickets.

He plans on doing a brief talk before the movie starts.
