Ladner's Rosemarie Hurst will be performing at Art After Stroke today in Vancouver.

The singer/songwriter will also have her photography on display, along with other stroke survivors, in a fundraiser for the Stroke Recovery Association of B.C. The event is billed as a celebration of incredible works by stroke survivors to raise awareness and funds for important stroke recovery programs.

Hurst notes all of the artists and performers are stroke survivors, showing that there is hope after a stroke and that she's very "honoured and happy to participate in this event."

It will include painting, sculpture, photography, music, comedy and theatre.

Art After Stroke takes place from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Vancouver Roundhouse Community Arts Recreation Centre.

Tickets are $30 and available at www.ticketzone.com.
