Santa was a regular visitor to the Town Centre Mall in Tsawwassen this month. Not only did local youngsters wake him from his slumber in an annual event, they got to pose for photos with St. Nick throughout the holiday season.
The intermediate students from Boundary Bay Montessori House School practiced for weeks in preparation for spreading some Christmas cheer earlier this month. The chimes choir performed for seniors at three locations: The Waterford, Augustine House and KinVillage.
Ian White, Cole Hammerer, Mataya Hammerer and Sean White helped deliver 150 stockings to the Tsawwassen Town Centre Mall's Stockings for Kids program in late November. Their mothers, Sonja White and Tiffinie Hammerer, have been getting local moms together for the last four years to help out with the program, which supplies stockings filled with gifts to Deltassist for distribution to low-income families at Christmas.
Doug Miller of Tilbury-based Gary Turner Display is shown with Delta Hospital Auxiliary Christmas Thrift Store coordinator Carol Burgoyne. Gary Turner Display donated several Christmas decorations, including trees, wreaths and sprays, to the thrift store this year. The company, which provides holiday and seasonal decor to commercial outlets, such as malls, office towers and restaurants, has donated to the Christmas thrift store for the past few years.

Swimmers had a chance to get their photo taken with Santa underwater at the Winskill Aquatic Centre in Tsawwassen earlier this month.
Members of the South Delta Pee Wee Storm A1 hockey team took part in a toy drive this holiday season. A selection of toys went to an eight-year-old girl and 13-year-old boy from the Lower Mainland with the rest going to Deltassist.
