A woman received a 90-day driving prohibition after landing in a Ladner ditch over the weekend.

An off-duty Delta police officer driving in the 8000-block of Ladner Trunk Road Sunday came across a vehicle submerged in the ditch. He helped get the driver out of the vehicle and, while the driver did not sustain any injuries she did show signs of impairment.

The driver was treated by paramedics before being taken to Delta police headquarters to provide breath samples.

As a result, she was issued a 24-hour driving suspension and a 90-day driving prohibition.
