“Break Glass In Case of Emergency.”

We have all seen these boxes in different places? The purpose of this box is to help you in situations where you can’t handle it yourself. Many of you reading this are staring down that figurative “red emergency box” right now, wondering if it’s time to call it quits and give up.

You want out. You need to break the glass. I understand — being alive can be challenging. There’s pressure. Pressure to be the perfect spouse and perfect parent. To know all the answers and do all the things. There’s frustration. Frustration when things just don’t work out.

But before you break the glass and give up, I would like to share with you a verse from the Bible.  Corinthians 15:58, Therefore, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your work is never in vain if it is in the Lord.

A few verses before, Paul tells us what will happen to our bodies when we die: death will have no hold on you and Jesus will have ultimate victory. He wins and because He wins, we win.

That’s why Paul says “therefore.” Therefore, because of the victory Jesus has already won, we are to be steadfast and immovable in our work. He is basically saying, “Don’t give up!”

Yes, there are pressures. Yes, you are frustrated. Don’t give up. Why? The reason is because your future victory outweighs your current emergency. Even if things seem hopeless, trust that your life is never in vain if it is in the Lord.
