Virtual reality coming to South Delta libraries

Experience virtual reality at the Ladner Pioneer Library and the Tsawwassen Library on Friday, Nov. 24, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with HTC VIVE goggles.

Virtual reality is an immersive computer-generated, three-dimensional interactive environment. Wearing the HTC VIVE goggles, headphones, and holding motion controllers, participants will be able to move freely around a 10x10 space and try out a mix of virtual games as well as educational experiences.

• Access to the VR equipment will be on a first-come, first served basis until 4 p.m.  A second experience can be requested if no first-timers are waiting.

• Each experience will last approximately 15 minutes

• The program is intended for ages 10+ or 48” tall

• Participants musts read and sign a waiver.  Parental permission is required for minors. Participants play at their own risk

• If you are age 10-17 and coming to the library without a parent on the Pro-D Day, you *must* have a parent or guardian sign a waiver allowing you to participate. Pick up a copy of the waiver prior to the day of the event and remember to bring your signed form with you

• The VR experience is for one player at a time
