Lois Frederick celebrated her 100th birthday with family members and other residents of Mountain View Manor in Ladner on Monday. Born in Woodbridge, Ontario in 1912, she moved to B.C. in 2005 and lived at Abbeyfield House in Tsawwassen until this year. Frederick trained as a nurse at the Kitchener Waterloo Hospital and retired from her career as matron at the Victoria Hospital in London. She has seven grandsons, 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
