Canadian Mental Health Association Delta offers free, facilitated Family Support meetings for family and friends who are supporting a person living with a mental illness and family members. Does your son or daughter have a favourite stuffed animal? Have your child bring "Teddy" or "Fuzzy" to your local Delta library to register for the Stuffed Animal Pet Parade happening at Storytime on Aug. 12 at both Ladner Pioneer Library (2 to 3 p.m.) and Tsawwassen Library (11 a.m. to noon). Space is limited. Registration is required and begins July 2. This program is aimed at children ages 2- to 5-years-old.

FUND RAISERS

There will be a fundraiser for the family of Mary Brodowich, who passed away earlier this month, at the Sundance Pub on Friday, Aug. 6 from 6 p.m. until closing time. The Delta Music Makers Community Band is looking for all players, but particularly low brass: trombone, baritone horn, French horn and tuba.
