Meteor Shower Watch
Metro Vancouver is hosting a family event Aug. 11, 8pm-8am at Aldergrove Lake Regional Park to watch the Perseid meteor shower (peak time 2-4am). The Royal Astronomical Society of Canada will be on site with telescopes. People must arrive by 11pm to get in but can leave at any time. Weather dependent. Cancellation notice issued by 4pm Aug. 11. Free diving lessons
Team Canada coaches and some of Canada’s best young divers will be at the Al Anderson Memorial Pool Aug. 17, 19 and 21 to offer free lessons and a diving exhibition. The sessions run 4-6pm. Participants must be at least five years old and able to swim in deep water.

Heritage Village Walking Tours
Every Saturday until Aug. 29, a tour starts at 7pm as a costumed guide people to Fort Langley’s heritage sites. Tours include a drink and treat at a local cafe.
