A n Abbotsford pastor and missionary charged with sexual assault of a teenage boy is expected to plead guilty next week.

Patrick Marini, 69, is charged with sexual assault and sexual interference in connection to an incident on Feb. 11 involving a 15-year-old boy.

It is still not clear what charges Marini will plead to, but he is scheduled to enter a plea in Abbotsford provincial court on May 17.

Abbotsford Police were contacted by the teen's mother about the incident on Feb. 16.

Marini is a longtime friend of the family involved, according to police.

In an online Google profile, Marini describes some of his missionary expeditions, and having acted as a pastor for a number of religious organizations, including the Resurrection Life Ministries in Abbotsford.

Marini was educated at the Canada Christian College and Seminary and has lived in Ottawa and Saskatchewan, according to his profile.
