Tsawwassen resident and B.C. speaking champion Carol Carter will be speaking at a Toastmasters special event at St. David's Church in Tsawwassen next week.

The Speakers Showcase is set for Tuesday, June 26 at 7 p.m. Members of the Ambassadors Toastmasters had the opportunity to hear Carter's award-winning speech, Spectacular Life, at Douglas College last weekend.

Carter will present her new speech, Seagull Happens, at the Speakers Showcase. She will be presenting the speech at the Toastmasters World Championships in Orlando in August. Speakers Showcase also features Gene Vickers, a professional speaker who will be facilitating a motivational Boost Camp during the evening, and Linda Todd Gharib, an inspirational speaker and author of For the Love of Hamoudi, a journey of faith in the Gaza Strip. Admission is $3 at the door.
