Welcome all Wonders

The Serenata Singers offer an evening of carols from the 14th to the 20th century, at 7:30 p.m. tonight at St. Andrew's United Church (7756 Grand Street, Mission). Brian Murdoch narrates classics by Tolstoy and Laurie Lee, poems by Susan Cooper, Thomas Hardy and William Shakespeare. A festive reception follows. Tickets are $12 adults, $10 for seniors/students, $6 for children 5 to 12, at Murdoch's Bookshoppes, and some tickets at the door. Doors open at 7 p.m.

Benefit for Mission hospice

Michael Friedman and Laura Doyle bring beautiful voices and songwriting to Deroche Community Hall (41550 North Nicomen Rd., Deroche on Saturday night. The show, a blend of folk, country, rock and pop genres, starts at 8 p.m., to raise funds for the Mission Hospice Society. Feelin' Good Variety Show

Little women at Hansen

Rick Hansen Secondary presents the much-loved tale of the March family and their exuberant daughters, in Little Women, adapted from the novel by Louisa May Alcott. Grade 11 and 12 theatre students perform on Dec. 17 and Dec. 18, at 7 p.m. both nights, with the doors open at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for students, and are sold at the door. On Dec. 20, the Pacific Theatre presents Christmas Presence, an evening of stories, songs, poetry and comedy. Live music at Gourmet
