28 Days to Wellness Challenge gets underway in Tsawwassen

Business Briefs

The Tsawwassen Wellness Centre is hosting a free 28 Days to Wellness Challenge for the people of South Delta during February.

Owner Linda Mallard has teamed up with Mary Roncarelli, a health coach and change expert, to create the challenge, which is designed to inspire people to take action and learn new ways to create more energy, feel stronger and get fit.

If this sounds like something you want for yourself, then take part in Motivation Mondays on Feb. 6, 20 and 27 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the Tsawwassen Springs clubhouse ballroom.

You must register to ensure enough seating, handouts and gifts. Call the Tsawwassen Wellness Centre at 604-943-8823.

The Bosley's in Tsawwassen is hosting a fundraiser to benefit the Greyhaven Exotic Bird Sanctuary.

Set for Saturday, Feb. 11 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., the fundraiser will feature a bake sale, raffle draws, a dog treat-tasting bar and more.

After the World Parrot Refuge in Coombs closed last June, Greyhaven stepped in to rescue and find forever homes for 584 birds.

Many of the birds were in very poor condition and the cost of caring for hundreds of parrots in several locations has been staggering.

Delta Cable customers now have a new way to personalize their TV channel lineup.

TV Channel Exchange enables consumers to swap out one or more TV channels they don't want with channels they do want to watch from over 150 selections.

"Consumer interests vary widely and they have been very clear about their sensitivity to pay for TV channels they don't want," says Tannis Goodfellow, sales and marketing manager at Delta Cable. "Younger families may want to swap out channels for more educational and family programming while empty nesters may want to swap out children's channels for lifestyle, history or travel-oriented programming."

Delta Cable customers who subscribe to either the Essentials Plus or Maestro bundle can log into their secure e-care account, review the channels they already have and then swap out one or more channels.
