A 15-year-old girl, missing from the Surrey area, has been located safe and sound by Delta police on Thursday evening.

On Nov. 24, Delta [olice assumed a missing person investigation from Surrey RCMP.

During the following days Delta police employed a variety of methods in an effort to locate Trinity McKenzie including a media release on Thursday afternoon. As a result of these efforts, Delta police did locate Trinity safe and sound.

“Delta police appreciate the help and support we receive from the general public in answer to our requests for your assistance,” said a media release.

Delta police is asking for the public’s assistance as the department investigates a missing person case.

Surrey resident Trinity McKenzie, 15, was originally reported missing to Surrey RCMP and after an initial RCMP investigation it appears she “has connections to the Delta area and has been known to be in the area frequently,” a Delta police media release explains.

Delta police have taken over the investigation.

McKenzie was seen in North Delta around 84th Avenue and 112th Street on Nov. 23 with one other teen female, police note.

“There are some indications that acquaintances may know of her whereabouts but are not coming forward,” the release stated.

McKenzie is described as a Caucasian female, 5’10 tall and 124 lbs with blonde hair with purple colouring and shaved on one side.

Police ask anyone who sees her or knows of her whereabouts to call 604-946-4411 and quote Delta file number 16-24722.
