A new batch of townhouses in Ladner has drawn another group of hopeful buyers who are camping out until the units go on sale Saturday.

They’re waiting for the first phase of Polygon’s Fairwinds development, which will be part of the new Hampton Cove neighbourhood.

Melissa McWilliams noted better price and selection were two reasons why she’s camping out. She said she’s been there since Monday.

Tony Klymchuk, another one of those waiting, said he’s there for his son.

Around a dozen people have been waiting since Monday. That number had reached close to 20 as of yesterday.

Polygon describes Fairwinds as a seaside-inspired community of 147 townhomes and notes the three- and four-bedroom homes are laid out with efficiency and style.

It was reported the first phase will consist of 36 units. They go on sale Saturday at noon.

Polygon’s now sold-out Charterhouse development, also part of the Hampton Cove neighbourhood, caused buyers to camp out earlier this year.
