A barn was gutted by fire in Ladner Saturday afternoon.
Delta firefighters responded to the blaze around 2 p.m. in the 5600-block of 64th Street.
The structure was fully involved when firefighters arrived, but thankfully there were no animals inside, according to deputy Chief Guy McKintuck.
McKintuck said the 16 members on scene had the fire under control pretty quickly using a defensive attack, meaning the blaze was contained from the outside and no one entered the structure.
He said the department was on scene for approximately three hours.
The cause of the blaze is still under investigation, but it’s not considered suspicious.
