The Tsawwassen Legion is hosting its second annual Car and Motorcycle Show N' Shine this Sunday.

Organizers expect 75 exhibitors based on the phone calls and inquiries they've been getting.

One of the car owners who'll be showing off his vehicle is Tsawwassen's Victor Tutte. Tutte bought his 1975 Dodge Charger SE on June 30, 1975. It has been meticulously cared for and driven only 61,337 miles in total.

He has the framed sales agreement for the car, kept undercover at his same home address for 37 years, mounted on his garage wall.

Tutte bought the car from Delta Chrysler Ltd., then located at 56th Street, for a whopping $7,338.

He's a veteran of over 120 car shows and was the first to phone in his registration for the Tsawwassen show.

Exhibitors can register after 8 a.m. when the pancake breakfast starts and judging will take place at 1 p.m. Awards will be given out at about 2 p.m.

There will be goody bags handed out to the first 50 exhibitors and they all get a free pancake breakfast.

The Diehards will be playing '50s and '60s tunes at the show n' shine. They start at 1: 30 p.m. for a couple of sets and then again at 6 p.m.

Every one working at the event is a volunteer and 10 per cent of net proceeds will go to the Association of Injured Motorcyclists. The balance of proceeds goes to the Legion. The branch pledges $1,000 a month to the Delta Hospital Foundation and in total donates over $35,000 to community organizations.

There will also be a food bank drop off box at the show n' shine.

The Tsawwassen Legion is located at 221835-56th St.
