The Little House Society and the Ladner Rotary Club have partnered to host a barbecue fundraiser on Sunday, July 23 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Kirkland House (4140 Arthur Drive, Ladner).

The fundraising event will feature food and drink courtesy of Save-On-Foods in Ladner, entertainment, games and a chance to win a number of raffle prizes. The event is open to the whole family. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for children, which covers your food and drink. Raffle tickets cost extra.

“With Canada celebrating its 150th birthday, it was a chance for us to create a unique heritage themed event,” said Little House executive director Elena Murgoci. “Our intent is to do this fundraiser every year to get the word out about the Little House and the services that we provide in the community. Partnering with such a great organization like the Ladner Rotary Club is also very important to the events success.”

Murgoci is hoping to see between 150 and 200 people come out.

Little House, located on 12th Avenue in Tsawwassen, is a provincially registered non-profit for the prevention and treatment of substance abuse and addiction.
