Jonathan and Theresa Moleski have overcome many challenges over the last few years, which makes winning $1 million in the June 4 Lotto 6/49 draw that much sweeter.

"We've had a really hard few years due to health issues," said an emotional Jonathan when picking up the cheque last week. "I'm grateful because this win allows us to give big thank-yous to the people who helped us in our time in need."

This win will also allow the Delta couple to grow Theresa's budding art business.

"I'm going to invest in my art and promote my company," said Theresa. "We're going to be able to breathe a little easier, walk a little taller and start enjoying life again."

The new millionaires plan to eventually celebrate their win and will soak in as much excitement as they can.

"Winning Lotto 6/49 rocks," said Theresa. "This win will make a huge difference in our lives and will allow us to live a better life."

The winning ticket was purchased at the lottery kiosk in Richmond Centre.
