Parade and ceremony in Ladner

A parade and ceremony will be held today in Ladner as we remember those who have served our country. The parade is scheduled to depart the Ladner Legion, located at 4896 Delta St., at 10:15 a.m.

A parade and ceremony will be held today in Ladner as we remember those who have served our country.

The parade is scheduled to depart the Ladner Legion, located at 4896 Delta St., at 10:15 a.m. and is set to be in position at the cenotaph at Memorial Park by 10:45 a.m.

The parade marching list includes a colour party from the Ladner Legion, the Delta Police Pipe Band, veterans, Delta police/RCMP, Delta fire, B.C. ambulance, Canadian Coast Guard, cadets and other organizations.

The singing of O Canada, the Last Post, a two-minute silence and wreath laying by various local groups will be part of the ceremony at the cenotaph.

Ian Estabrooks from the Ladner Legion will narrate the service and Rev. Walter G. Bayley will serve as padre.

The service will also include the Delta Choral Society.
