Motorists are being advised that a busy section of road in East Delta will be closed to traffic for a few days starting this Friday.
Municipal crews will be doing drainage infrastructure work at the intersection of Ladner Trunk Road and 104th Street near the East Delta Hall.
That means only local traffic will be allowed in the area from today at 7 p.m. until Tuesday, March 14 at 5 a.m.
Deputy engineering director Hugh Fraser said 104th Street, from Highway 91 to Ladner Trunk Road, will be closed as well as Ladner Trunk at the highways 91 and 99. Motorists will have to take Highway 99 to get around it.
Fraser said two culverts that cross under Ladner Trunk Road, as well as one under 104th Street, need replacing and the most effective way of doing that is to cut open the road.
