Debbie Cheong, the Osteofit provincial coordinator for B.C. Women's Hospital and Health Centre is the special guest. She'll talk about the importance of exercise for seniors in maintaining wellness and bone health. Participants can question specialists about how to make healthy food choices, food labelling (what do the numbers mean), over-the-counter drugs and herbal products (what are they and what are their side effects), how to understand the Canada Food Guide, and aches and pains (what's normal and what isn't). A North Delta teacher gave birth to British Columbia's first baby of 2011. Cayden Wilcott, was born one minute past midnight on New Year's Day at B.C. Women's Hospital and Health Centre.
B.C. Women's Hospital is hiring a new contractor to finish installing a specialized skylight in the building's entrance after a North Vancouver contractor previously convicted of defrauding his customers failed to finish the job.
