Allison Campbell of Maple Ridge led the Maryland Terrapins to their best-ever season finish, narrowly missing qualifying for the Div. 1 National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Women's Water Polo Championships.
University of Maryland's Allison Campbell, who is from Maple Ridge, was chosen as Collegiate Water Polo Association Player of the Week again after her team, the Terrapins, had a successful weekend during their spring break trip to California.
Maple Ridge's Allison Campbell recorded six goals and 13 steals to earn recognition as the Feb. 27 women's varsity water polo western division player of the week.
Allison Campbell, a former Maple Ridge Secondary School student, tallied 15 points and six steals over four games at the Terrapin Invitational to earn top honours as Women's Varsity Western Division Player of the Week on Jan. 30.
Allison Campbell received honorable mention All-America selection by the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches July 20.
