The massive Burns Bog fire wasn't the only thing keeping the Delta Fire Department busy.
Firefighters responded to a call in the 3100-block of River Road West July 3 and found a vehicle fire had spread to a barn.
It took approximately three hours to deal with the fire, said deputy Chief Brad Wilson, noting it had reached the upper floor and roof of the barn.
"It was a great save," he said. "We were really limited with water supply there." The vehicle, a van, was a write-off, he said, adding it was unclear how it caught fire.
There were no injuries in the incident, he said.
