Story was just propaganda for developers

Re: Manage change, don't resist it, Dec. 1

Your reporter presents a piece of propaganda, including an old file photo with Southlands development proponents prominently displayed, for the development of Tsawwassen.

It could have been written by a developer because it condemns the "sprawling neighbourhoods of detached houses on large lots." We can't have that! Every available acre must be paved over and/or built on.

"We need to continue to grow in order to maintain economic competitiveness." Does the assistant UBC planning professor demand that we live for the economy or does the economy serve us?

This is the same old mantra we have heard too often by people who can't wait to develop.
