Re: Residents in Boundary Bay deserve a tax rebate for road work delays, letter to the editor, June 6

In response to the letter demanding a tax rebate for residents of Boundary Bay for road work delays, I would trust that residents of South Delta have not formulated a negative opinion toward the majority of residents within the Boundary Bay area.

The letter is a denigrating, derogatory missive toward all the hard-working tradespeople as well as the flag people who ensure the flow of single-lane traffic in either direction is balanced at all times.

Allow me to remind the letter writer of all the other necessary upgrade projects now ongoing in Tsawwassen, including Beach Grove Road, 12th Avenue and 52nd Street. I have never heard of any outbursts about the day-to-day disruptions these residents are having to put up with for projects that are longer in duration.

It’s also worth mentioning at this juncture that all these necessary upgrades are being financed by our very own municipal tax dollars.
