Nurses definitely earn their money in Delta Hospital ER

Recently I had to spend a week in the "observation area" of the ER at Delta Hospital. On the Wednesday and the Friday of that week I was transferred to Royal Columbian Hospital in New Westminster for a "heart catheterization." The rest of my days were spent reading and relaxing on the observation ward.

This letter is to acknowledge the care, consideration and concern taken by all of the doctors and nurses that work in the observation area, especially the nurses that for 12-hour shifts attend to every aspect of their patients' concerns. Some of these patients were suffering with dementia and the nurses provided them with extra care and reassurance.

I do not know what the hourly rate of pay is for these nurses, but I do know they work very hard for every penny they earn. These nurses are a credit to their hospital for the service they provide.

I thank each and every one of them for their professionalism, understanding and the immense caring they show towards the patients in their care.
