Led by coach Grant Hornby, the South Delta Angels had an outstanding weekend of play at the recent Provincial Mite Softball Championships in Burnaby. The Angels stunned the tournament by dominating the base race competition on day one. They just kept on winning, finally taking third in the "A" division. This is a first for the Angels and the South Delta Minor Fastpitch Association.
