Last weekend's Rotary TV Auction raised $18,000 for the service club's charitable causes.
Popular items included hotel outings, dining gift certificates and other gift cards from local stores and businesses, said auction chair Jeff Norris
"We had a lot of different hotel experiences and dining gift certificates, which seemed to be one of our biggest sellers," he said.
Most of the gift cards sold for their exact value, he noted.
The auction, held by the Rotary Club of Ladner, took place on Saturday and was aired live on Delta Cable from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
"We had a great group of volunteers come out," said Norris.
The 22nd annual auction, which featured 250 donated items, supported local groups like Earthwise Society, Delta Life Skills Society and the Little House Society.
Norris said tickets to the Vancouver Canucks, an annual auction favourite, weren't on the block this year due to the NHL lockout.
"That certainly brought us down in our numbers a little bit, but selling other items we did very, very well."
