It was the comeback of the ages that produced a thrilling tournament victory in Newton for the Tsawwassen Athletics.

The Athletics looked like they would be settling for silver when the Cowichan Valley Mustangs took a commanding 13-4 lead into the bottom of the seventh and final inning. Instead, the Tsawwassen bats came to life in a big way, including a grand slam home run to pull out a 14-13 win.

There were earlier heroics in the semi-finals as well with the A's forcing extra innings by scoring four in the sixth, thanks to another grand slam home run. They went on to win 7-5 in eight innings.

The team includes: Nolan Wrathall, Gavin Wood, Kyle Losse, Will Andersen, Ryan Heppner, Adam Simpkin, Declan Dunn, Cooper Loewen, Declan Speiran, and Lucas Nobbs.
