Vancouver police are investigating after a set of bagpipes and a Delta Police Pipe Band dress uniform were stolen at B.C. Place over the weekend.
The pipe band was at the stadium Saturday night to perform during the B.C. Lions half-time show.
At around 7 p.m. the suspect stole a large black duffle bag from a corridor near the east gate at B.C. Place. The bag contained bagpipes and a Delta Police Pipe Band dress uniform, which included: a brooch, tartan, dress uniform jacket, feather bonnet and hat.
The suspect is described as a Caucasian male, 20 to 15 years old, about six-feet-tall and weighing 175 pounds with brown hair and sideburns. He was wearing all black clothing and a baseball hat, and was last seen walking out of B.C. Place through the East Airlock and onto Pacific Boulevard.
Anyone with information about the suspect, or the whereabouts of any of the stolen items, is asked to call Vancouver Police at 604-717-3321 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
