A number of homes in the 1300-block of Farrell Avenue in Tsawwassen have been evacuated due to a suspicious circumstance at a nearby residence.

Delta police spokesperson Const. Ciaran Feenan said police received a call about a suspicious package at about 2:45 p.m. Monday. Residents in the area were evacuated as a precaution while the RCMP bomb unit was called in.
