The Delta police and fire departments are investigating after a suspicious vehicle fire earlier this week in Ladner.

Both departments were called to a home in the 5000-block of 44B Avenue at about 11:20 p.m. Monday when a vehicle in the driveway was found fully engulfed in flames.

Firefighters extinguished the blaze before it could spread and Delta police investigators were brought in to help seize any possible evidence and talk to neighbours.

Delta police spokesperson Const. Ciaran Feenan said the fire appears to have been set deliberately.

The vehicle sustained significant damage.
