A teenage boy was sent to hospital Thursday morning after he was hit by a car in Ladner.

The 14-year-old was struck while riding his bike in the area of 47A Avenue between Garry and 48B streets at around 8:35 a.m.

Delta police spokesperson Const. Ciaran Feenan said the teen was taken to hospital with a broken ankle and a minor concussion.

Delta police traffic investigators were on scene and had 47A Avenue closed between Garry and 48B streets.
