The following are some of the calls of interest the Delta police responded to in the South Delta area between Monday, July 23 and Wednesday, July 25:
. July 23, 9: 10 a.m., 1100-block of Skana Drive: A Kona mountain bike was stolen sometime overnight from the backyard of the residence. The bicycle is described as a green fading to silver Stab Garbonzo model with five gears.
. July 23, 9: 30 a.m., 900block of Pacific Drive: An old mountain bike valued at $200 was stolen overnight from an unlocked shed at the side of the residence.
. July 24, 2 p.m., 56th Street and 8th Avenue: A set of car keys found on the street was left at the Tsawwassen Community Police Station. Owner can claim on identification at the station, 1108-56th St.
. July 25, 3: 39 p.m., 1300-block of 56th Street:
A middle aged male wearing black shorts and a grey T-shirt placed a bottle of liquor in his knapsack and left the store without paying.
Police obtained the store's video surveillance and will distribute stills of the suspect for identification
. July 23, 2: 12 a.m., 5200-block of Oak Place: Police responded to a report of loud voices and music coming from the yard of a residence. The homeowner was advised to shut the party down and given information regarding the noise bylaw.
. July 23, 9: 49 a.m., 6000-block of 49th Avenue: A report was received that a vehicle had been parked on the street for several days. There was a concern it was stolen. Police contacted the owner who moved the vehicle.
vehicle. . July 24, 9: 37 a.m., 4600-block of 51St Street: The owner of a vending machine located in the school cafeteria reported the glass door was broken, causing $1,000 in damage. The school was able to identify the students involved who indicated the machine had taken their money but did not give them the product so they shook the machine in frustration causing the crack. The school will deal with the students and their parents and will pursue compensation once the total value of the damage is assessed.
. July 24, 4: 12 p.m., Ladner Trunk Road and Highway 17: Police responded to a report of a driver drinking from a can of beer. Police located the vehicle and issued the driver a ticket for possessing open liquor in a motor vehicle.
