Trio of movie nights in Tsawwassen

Three outdoor movie nights presented by the Rotary Club of Tsawwassen are planned for August.

First up is a drive-in movie on Sunday, Aug. 6 at Beach Grove Elementary as part of the Tsawwassen Sun Festival.

Pre-book free tickets at www.sunfestdrivein.com. Gates open at 6:30 p.m. and the movie, Star Wars Rogue One, starts at dusk. Popcorn will be available, but for food movie-goers are encouraged to pack a picnic.

The second event takes place Saturday, Aug. 19 at Diefenbaker Park with a showing of Guardians of the Galaxy 2 at dusk.

There will be food trucks on-site and premovie entertainment on stage. The event starts at 5 p.m.

The Tsawwassen Town Centre Mall and Rotary Club of Tsawwassen have partnered along with support from the Tsawwassen Business Improvement Association for the third movie night and community block party, which is set for Saturday, Aug. 26 at Diefenbaker Park.

There will be food trucks, popcorn, kids'activities along with stage entertainment during the block party, which starts at 6 p.m.

The animated movie, The Secret Life of Pets, is scheduled to start at 8:30 p.m.
