Tsawwassen Benno Bucher is back with his fundraising festive model train display.

Tsawwassen's Benno Bucher is raising money for the Food on the Corner Society again with his festive model train display. Set up in the front yard of his Beach Grove home, the display includes different areas like Santa's workshop, a Swiss mountain and a skating scene.

Bucher accepts donations for Food on the Corner, which serves food to the needy, hungry and the homeless population of the Vancouver Downtown Eastside. He raised close to $1,000 last year.

He estimates he's done the display for at least 12 years now.

"I enjoy doing it. Young families, mostly, enjoy it and grandparents like bringing their grandchildren by. We've got a steady clientele here. People keep coming back," he says.

The display, at 5875 Vardon Place, usually runs in the evening from 5 to 8 or 9 p.m. It is weather dependent.
