It is a sad day when a group of intelligent people, business people and compassionate people step up to the democratic process called "elections"-
and are labelled "independent radicals".
This is what our present mayor and team labelled anyone who was not on their "side".
Stating-"nothing can be accomplished" if you vote for an independent.
I say shame. Are you indeed so desperate to toe the party line that you must completely disregard
the very stronghold of our society-and that is democracy?
The shameful disregard for public consultations shows us what this government has in store.
The 49.7% property tax increase on commercial properties-the very place this crew wants to expand-shows complete disregard
for the small business. A small business, if triple net-would have to fork out almost 50% more in property tax since the last election.
For what?? Commercial properties receive NO SERVICES!
I believe democracy must have some opposition, or at the very least, someone to question and analyze the status quo.
Please make that happen.
