Get into the holiday carolling spirit at a Streets With Song event, hosted by the Herbert Spencer PAC on Nov. 26.

The Herbert Spencer Elementary School PAC is inviting everyone to join in a community carol sing – COVID-style.

The parent advisory council is hosting a new Streets With Song event on Thursday, Nov. 26 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Everyone’s invited to get their digital song sheet (free with registration) and gather outside in front of their own homes – from the porch, sidewalk or yard - to sing carols.

“Let’s fill the streets with good cheer for all to hear, socially distant but together,” the PAC says in an invite. “This twist on traditional carolling encourages you to be apart but together in song for one night.”

Anyone who lives near Herbert Spencer School (Second Street and Sixth Avenue) is invited to stop by and check out the Christmas tree lights, which will be turned on for the season.

The event is being held by donation, with all proceeds to benefit the Lookout Society.

For Spencer families, every child registered will receive a coupon for a hot chocolate from Rocky Point Ice Cream, courtesy of Team Dave Vallee of Re/Max.

(Families from other schools are also welcome to join in, but they won’t qualify for the hot chocolate coupon.)
