Real Canadian Superstores have seen long lines of shoppers.

T&T in Burnaby led the way.

Now, other grocery supermarkets are one by one following the way and making masks mandatory during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Shoppers headed to the Real Canadian Superstore in Burnaby should expect to mask up after the grocery retailer moved to tighten its mask policy across the country.

Anyone entering a store is required to wear face covering, announced the company in a Facebook post last weekend.

This includes the store at Metropolis at Metrotown in Burnaby.

“Starting Saturday August 29, 2020 masks or face coverings will be mandatory at all Real Canadian Superstore® locations,” announced the company.

The company's Coquitlam Centre branch (3000 Lougheed Highway) and Maillardville location (1301 Lougheed Highway) are also both affected by the new rules.

The mandatory mask policy follows similar moves by grocery giants like T&T, Walmart and, more recently, No Frills.

This follows Dennis’ No Frills at 1916 Como Lake Ave. reporting earlier this month on its Facebook page that one of its team members recently tested positive for coronavirus.
