Photomotion goes digital, offers slideshow for free

Photographers won’t be able to gather at Port Moody’s Inlet Theatre this year for Photomotion.

Photographers won’t be able to gather at Port Moody’s Inlet Theatre this year for Photomotion.

But the group running the slideshow of members’ images will put its presentation online — for free.

Starting Nov. 14, the Pacific Digital Photography Club will have the annual juried show up on its website (pdpc.ca) until Jan. 31, 2021.

Spokesperson Jim Hayes said the organization made the move to go digital because of the health and safety concerns with the pandemic.

Besides the members’ pictures, guest Kasandra Sproson will display a sample of her award-winning photos for Photomotion. She’s won first place in the Red River EX Salon, and earned accolades from the Canadian Association of Photographic Arts (CAPA).

Sproson’s work has also graced Beautiful British Columbia magazine.

The club plans to bring back Photomotion to the Inlet Theatre on Nov. 13, 2021.
